How it works

READ FIRST OR JUST BEGIN

Most kink tests hand you a clipboard. This one hands you an evening. Twenty-four scenarios — a blindfold offered, a rule kept all week, a pause held too long — and your honest reactions to them chart where you actually sit between leading and yielding, planning and improvising, savoring and devouring.

If you arrived here searching for a BDSM test, you are in the right place — just not a clinical one. There are no ratings scales and no jargon quiz at the door. Each answer quietly moves five axes: dominance, structure, play, sensation, and restraint. At the end, the pattern gets a name — one of twelve archetypes, each with its own way of wanting.

Your answers never leave this device. No account, no names — only the shape they make is saved, locally, to your private Desire Profile. For fun and self-discovery — not a diagnosis.

The twelve archetypes

FAQ
Is this a BDSM test?

It covers that territory — power, control, sensation, restraint — but it is written for anyone curious about how they want, whatever they call it. No experience, gear, or vocabulary required. Vanilla answers are answers too.

Are my answers private?

Yes, structurally. Raw answers never leave your device. The test computes your axis scores locally in your browser, and only that derived result is stored — on this device, in your private profile. There is no account and nothing to leak.

How does the scoring work?

Each option carries small weights across five axes: dominance, structure, play, sensation, and restraint. Your totals are normalized and matched to the nearest of twelve archetypes — the named pattern that fits your shape best. It is deterministic: same answers, same archetype.

Can my result change over time?

It should. Desire is not a fixed address. Retake the test after a new relationship, a good year, or a bad one — the map updates. Treat your archetype as a portrait of now, not a verdict on forever.

1. A partner hands you the whole evening — plans, pace, everything. The first thing you feel?
  • Relief. I design evenings for a living, apparently
  • Curiosity — new territory
  • A little exposed, honestly
  • A thrill I would not admit out loud
2. The scene that stays with you afterward is the one where…
  • Every beat landed exactly as planned
  • The plan dissolved into something better
  • You never quite knew what was next
  • Almost nothing happened — and that was the point
3. Anticipation, honestly, is…
  • The best material there is
  • A tax you pay for the good part
  • Better than the thing itself, some nights
  • Torture — the kind you would order again
4. Who sets the pace, ideally?
  • I do — it is half the craft
  • They do — I like being led
  • We trade it back and forth, mid-sentence
  • Whoever breaks composure first
5. The touch you think about later is…
  • Barely there. A rumor of a touch
  • Deliberate. A grip that means it
  • Playful — it keeps changing its mind
  • Slow and mapped, like someone taking notes
6. A blindfold is offered — for you to wear. Your honest first reaction?
  • Yes. Everything gets louder in the dark
  • I would rather be the one tying it
  • Fine — but I want to know the plan first
  • Only if we can laugh when I walk into the dresser
7. Laughter, mid-scene, is…
  • The whole point. If it is not fun, why are we here
  • Allowed — briefly — then back to the script
  • A crack in the tension I worked hard to build
  • Something I decide when it happens
8. A partner gives you one small rule to keep all week. You…
  • Keep it perfectly, and enjoy that they will know
  • Break it on Tuesday, artfully, to see what happens
  • Would rather be the one writing rules
  • Feel it humming in the background of every meeting
9. The word "wait", said quietly at the right moment, lands as…
  • A gift. Waiting is where I live
  • A challenge I intend to lose
  • A word I am usually the one saying
  • Unbearable, in the best way
10. Being told exactly what to do, step by step, makes you feel…
  • Free. Someone else is holding the map
  • Amused. I will follow two steps, then improvise
  • Itchy. I am usually the one narrating
  • Focused — every instruction narrows the world
11. You have one uninterrupted hour and a willing partner. The hour goes to…
  • A slow build with a very deliberate ending
  • Whatever happens in the first five minutes, extended
  • Their undoing, conducted by me
  • Being taken somewhere I did not choose
12. Temperature — an ice cube, a warm palm, the cold side of the pillow. You are…
  • Fascinated. Contrast is a language
  • In it for the flinch, mine or theirs
  • More moved by pressure than temperature
  • Honestly more about the pause before it touches skin
13. A plan falls apart halfway through the night. You…
  • Have a second plan. Obviously
  • Feel the night finally start
  • Hand the wreckage to my partner and watch
  • Take the wheel without announcing it
14. Teasing — giving it — is…
  • A discipline. I could go pro
  • Fun until I crack first
  • Less interesting than being on the receiving end
  • A warm-up. I prefer the main event
15. Praise, said close to your ear, does what exactly?
  • Rearranges me completely
  • Works better when I am the one saying it
  • Makes me laugh — then makes me quiet
  • Less than a well-timed silence does
16. Your ideal amount of "what happens next" knowledge is…
  • All of it. I wrote it
  • The outline, not the details
  • None. Surprise is the whole flavor
  • Enough to consent, not enough to predict

  • Accepted before they finish the sentence
  • Countered with a better one

  • Firm and unhurried
  • High — I want to feel it tomorrow
  • Wherever my partner is brave enough to take it
19. The pause before a kiss that both of you know is coming…
  • Should be held as long as physics allows
  • Is mine to end, thank you
  • Usually collapses because one of us grins

20. Talking about what you want, out loud, beforehand feels…
  • Like foreplay with a table of contents
  • Necessary — then I want the talking done for me
  • Easiest when I am the one asking the questions

  • Like the deep end — and I swim
  • Fine in theory. I keep one hand on the wheel
  • Like something I would trade turns at
  • Best in small, precise doses
24. And when the night ends — the part you protect is…
  • The debrief. What worked, what is next
  • The quiet. No words, all weight
  • Making sure they land softly. That is my job
  • Being gathered up and told I did well
